Liberty Summit 2016

Private property is the fundamental foundation of our American republic, but animal ownership, animal enterprise are under assault across our nation, threatening our right to private property and even our domestic food producers.

These concerns will be addressed by The Cavalry Group's Liberty Summit presenters who are leading advocates on the frontlines who have been experiencing the threat to our American republic first hand and will undoubtedly give our attendees the tools and action plans necessary to make a difference in their communities at home and nationwide. 

 

LIBERTY SUMMIT ADMISSION:

*Liberty Summit  admission includes lunch both days, plus a BBQ dinner Friday evening followed by a horse carriage ride through Old St. Charles.

We are thrilled to welcome the following presenters:

Sonya Anderson, was elected to her first two-year term as Missouri State Representative in November 2012. Sonya currently presides as Chairman of the Conservation and Natural Resources Committee and Vice-Chair of the bipartisan Privacy Caucus. Sonya has been dedicated to agriculture and equine communities all of her life. She currently resides on her farm north of Springfield with her husband of 25 years. They have two sons, Zack and Tyler.

Karen Budd Falen is one of the leading legal advocates protecting private property rights dealing with challenges from the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and other environmental statues in the Western United States. Karen served for three years in the Reagan Administration, U.S. Department of the Interior, Washington, D.C., as a Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management.

Will Coggin is the Director of Research at the Center for Consumer Freedom which produces HumanWatch.com where he focuses on animal rights and environmental issues. Coggin is a frequent critic of radical activists who seek to take choices away from Americans and put farmers out of business, such as the HSUS, PETA, and Greenpeace and has been a contributor to numerous print and broadcast media outlets. 

Amy Fox,  Concerned Women for America of Missouri Issue Specialist, specializing in exposing the ideology behind Sustainable Development and its impact on individual liberty and the American way of life in addition to being a Republican Central Committeewoman.

Eva Hughes  is former Vice President of the Horse and Carriage Association of New York City and longtime NYC carriage owner with her owner/operator husband, Thomas. For more than three decades Eva has dedicated herself to defeating the freedom-destroying animal rights movement. Her goal is to protect not only her beloved and iconic family business, but also to create alliances with other horse and animal businesses to combat the AR agenda. Eva was recently part of a successful effort to kill a bill aimed at crippling the NYC carriage industry.

 Congressman Steve King a leading conservative voice in the United States House of Representatives who has worked tirelessly to protect our nation's food producers, animal enterprise, and constitutional issues, especially private property. A former home builder, Congressman King understands the importance of protecting the engine of our economy, small businesses, from over regulation and anti-business activistim.

Ken Klippen, President of the National Association of Egg Farmers represents egg farmers nationwide in positions and policies that impact egg production practices. He has more than 35 years of successful experience directing national and international initiatives through industry associations and companies. He has a proven record of success in addressing national and state legislation, and federal regulatory agencies. 
 

Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack, former Constitutional Sheriff of Graham County, Arizona,  author/speaker, has served in a wide variety of roles over the course of his nearly twenty year career in law enforcement advocating for of State and individual rights. Founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, he also established the County Sheriff Project both of which challenge the authority of un-Constitutional Federal Laws.

Joseph Maldonado (Joe Exotic) grew up on a farm in Garden City Kansas and a large cattle ranch in Centennial Wyoming. Joe later began traveling and doing magic with tigers, while building the world’s largest private zoo in Oklahoma, housing over 214 tigers and other exotic animals. Joe has boldly faced some of the most extreme animal rights organizations and has been a champion to protect private ownership of exotic animals. 

Theresa Manzella is a Montana House Representative, and a lifetime competitive horsemen, who was innocently catapulted into the animal rights agenda, and thus politics,  when she naively started a horse rescue after the economic crash in 2008.  What a wild ride!  After numerous assaults and threats, she decided to run for office in an effort to protect the people, state, country and industry she dearly loves.   

Kevin Murphy advertising and marketing executive and founder of Food-Chain Communications, an organization working to counter the false propaganda being used to impact our national food production. Recognizing the importance of language in dealing with food issues, Kevin advises food producers, retailers, and the restaurant industry on how to communicate more effectively to today’s consumers.

Kurtis Reeg is the Managing Partner of the St. Louis office of the international law firm Goldberg Segalla and serves as Legal Counsel for The Cavalry Group.  Mr. Reeg is one of top litigators in the nation practicing in the fields of agriculture and animal law, environmental law and product liability.  He recognizes the challenge facing Americans and American business from over zealous regulation, bureacrats and activists and will discuss ways to protect your property and business from the challenges at hand.  

Charly Seale is a fourth generation rancher and converted his family ranching operation from a traditional livestock operation to an elk, whitetail and exotic breeding and hunting operation in the early 1980. Resulting from that move, Charly is the executive director of the Exotic Wildlife Association based in the heart of the Texas hill country representing exotic wildlife producers and conservationists.

Beth Schoenberg has a strong passion for our Nation, our Constitution, and a love and respect for our ranchers, farmers, and rural America which is relected in her Common Sense Coalition Talk Radio program. Beth's show reflects her understanding of everyday struggles faced by farmers, small town America, mothers, educators and the "common" working man. 

Janet Hufnagel Thompson is a wife, mother, rancher, and passionate advocate for private property, Liberty and agriculture. Janet experienced tyranny first hand when she and her husband, Matt, lost everything in Western Australia after taking a stand against Climate Change Policies in Australia.

Christine Vaught brings a unique perspective and experience to the fight against animal rights extremism with her lifelong involvement with equine management and her 17+ years experience as a professional dog trainer.  Uniquely, Chris also spent 25+ years working for the U.S. Government with time dealing with environment activists in the forests of Oregon.  To support the fight to protect private property rights, Chris decided to get her law degree, and will take the California Bar exam in July 2016.
