How Math and Money Function Together

Personal finance skills are key for today’s youth as they begin developing positive money habits.  Attendees will learn about Money Minutes, a series of short exercises based on real-world financial decisions that use math to solve problems. Additional extension questions can lead to classroom discussion and exploration of economic and financial situations faced by individuals and families.  Each Money Minute is directly connected to Arizona math standards for the middle school or high school level. 

This training is designed for middle school and high school math teachers.  Upon completion of this training, you will receive 1 hour of professional development credit and access to the Money Minutes slide decks.
