A free education event for Marin County and neighboring communities
Please join the Sports Legacy Institute's California Concussion Coalition, the Brain Injury Network of the Bay Area, and the Corte Madera Lions Club for an Advanced Concussion Training (ACT) for Marin County and neighboring communities, hosted by Eric Freitag, Psy.D., Coalition Co-Chair and Executive Director of the Mt. Diablo Memory Center Sport Concussion Program, Cindy J. Chang, M.D., Coalition Co-Chair and Chief Medical Officer of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team, and Alison Tetrick, professional cyclist and 2016 Olympic hopeful.
The ACT will provide the information and inspiration for parents, coaches, administrators, teachers, and concerned community members to keep athletes safe. This training exceeds state law requirements that mandate that high school coaches obtain education on the signs, symptoms, and appropriate response to concussion injuries. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance if needed for their school.
