Since 2006, OTRONICON  has explored the science, art, technology, careers and fun behind videogames, simulation and digital media. Each year, multiple industry partners join the Orlando Science Center to celebrate how digital media technologies impact the way we live, learn, work and play.

The Orlando Science Center’s largest event, nowhere else can you play videogames ranging from classic arcades to the current platforms, act out your rock star fantasies by playing Rock Band on a real stage before a cheering crowd, attend workshops to discover 3D modeling, animation and game design, go hands-on with medical and military simulators, and watch videogame-themed laser light shows on the 8-story screen of the Dr. Phillips CineDome.

The event aims to spark interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers through the appeal of video games, interactive technology and virtual reality. Otronicon promotes the concept of “made in Orlando, played in Orlando” with many chances to interact with the creative professionals that make the games you enjoy and discover the growing career opportunities in your own backyard. Orlando is one of the largest digital media and simulation clusters in the country, which includes more than 1,200 companies, 30,000 creative specialists and estimated annual revenue of $9 billion.

Individuals interested in volunteering must be at least 13 years of age and will receive an event t-shirt (while supplies last), free parking and complimentary admission to Otronicon on the day(s) that they volunteer as a thank you for assisting with the event.
