 Take a leap from round into the world of polygons. Triangles, Squares, and Hexagons oh my! Learn how to alter thrown vessels to create an endless number of crisp facets. This workshop focuses on the basics of a “wet altering” method followed by reductive refinement techniques. Multiple approaches to throwing, altering and trimming cups and bowls will be demonstrated but these fundamentals are applicable to any form.

 

Materials Needed:

Basic throwing and trimming tools
Plastic and metal ribs for surface refinement
Banding wheels to share as a class
MKM decorating disks and surform tools needed for all
