Willamette River Festival
2019 Willamette River Plein Air PAINT OUT!

Join the Plein Air Painters of Lane County at the Willamette River PAINT OUT! on Saturday, August 24th, for a plein air painting competition focusing on the Willamette River. Prizes provided by Valley River Inn and Oregon Art Supply, will be awarded onstage at the Willamette River Festival!

What/When: The 2019 Willamette River Plein Air PAINT OUT! will feature our mighty Willamette River in areas of Eugene and Springfield. The contest hours are 8AM-2PM on Saturday, August 24th. Artists will check in at the Festival "base camp" (look for tents and event set up at the Canoe Canal in Alton Baker Park, just across the bridge as you are pulling into the Park off Martin Luther King Blvd. Registration check-in starts at 8AM. PLEASE BRING AN EASEL FOR DISPLAY. We will ID all easels at check-in with your registration, artwork will be displayed in a secured exhibit area as it is completed throughout the day and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and People's Choice awards will be announced on stage following the last musical performance of the evening, around 3:30PM. 

Where: River-centric landscapes to be painted along the Willamette River Greenway in Eugene and Springfield, followed by an awards ceremony at the Willamette River Festival, onstage at the Alton Baker Canoe Canal. 

Details: Register ahead of time until Friday, August 23rd for $10. Registration fees will go up to $15 day of the event.
