Essentials of Effective Store Fronts

Are you ready to improve your business’ bottom line by enticing more customers into your retail store? To meet today’s shoppers’ expectations you need to deliver not only a product but an experience. What you look like lays the foundation for that experience. What image are you projecting and is it the right one for
you? Are you adding value to your products and creating a sense of positive anticipation or are you unknowingly working against yourself?   Any time is a good time to make your storefront more effective but especially during the holiday season. Be smart and be ready to know what steps to take to capture your share of your market’s sales. Impact Capital (IC) with the East Spokane Business Association (ESBA)
and the Greater Hillyard Business Association (GHBA) are proud to sponsor the Essentials of Effective Storefronts – a 90 minute workshop designed to help you increase foot traffic and boost sales. Over the course of the evening (November 5th from 5:30-7 PM) you’ll learn the seven key components every effective storefront has and how they work together for your store AND your district to create an experience worth coming to your location for.

Personalized on-site consultations will also be held on Thursday Nov 6.  A total of 4 one-hour individual
consultations at are reserved for ESBA and GHBA members at a discounted rate of $150. We are working to secure additional slots for members and non-members at a rate of $300 each. Please see CONSTULTATIONS details below.

Join IC, ESBA and the GHBA for an evening with Seanette Corkill of Frontdoor Back – a trusted expert in store design and visual merchandising. A recognized speaker, Seanette has delivered seminars on effective storefront design, window displays and visual merchandising from coast to coast and has been interviewed multiple times by the retail segments of Entrepreneur.com.

Don’t miss this opportunity to attend The Essentials of Effective Storefronts on Wednesday, November 5 from  5:30  - 7:00 PM at Sprague Union Terrace (1420 E Sprague Avenue) where we’ll also announce the 4 lucky retailers chosen to receive their own one-hour personalized store consultations. CONSULTATIONS: There are 4 reserved time slots lasting 1 hour each, Thursday, Nov 6, for on-site store consultations for ESBA and GHBA members (2 per organization). No general discussion here. She’s making it personal. Your store, your issues, answers just for you. ESBA and the GHBA will pitch in half of the cost ($150) of the consultation fee ($300) so you can learn exactly what changes or improvements you can make to get your space dialed in. Talk about benefits of membership!

How to Qualify: Let us know why and what you’d like to get help with (window displays, layout, signage, colors, merchandising, lighting, etc) in 500 words or less (deadline: October 31) We’ll announce who the 4 finalists are at the end of the 90-minute seminar on November 5th. You must be present to “win”. If chosen, be prepared to submit your half of the fee at the seminar and we’ll schedule your session.  And The GHBA and ESBA would like to sweeten the pot. As an incentive, and because we want to see people taking action (no more talk – let’s DO) if you implement one or several of Seanette’s suggestions we’d like to kick back half (that’s $75 bucks) of your consultation fee for moving yourself, your store and your neighborhood business district  forward. GHBA members should submit their application (500 words or less) to ghbainfo@gmail.com; ESBA members should submit their applications (500 words or less) to president@esbiz.org. Please direct questions regarding the event and consultations to Melissa at 509-456-8088.

Not a member, or missed the application deadline but would still like to schedule a one-on-one? There may be up to two (2) additional sessions available. Please contact Melissa to hear what options are available.
