 Learn Colorwork Knitting

Come learn to knit with two colors (in the same row!) on Sunday, March 12th!

John will be showing knitters how to work through a pattern called the Fandangle Hat by Andi Satterlund. It features Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool in the colorway Devilish Grin and a solid sport weight yarn of your choosing (pattern calls for Cascade 220 sport).

The pattern can be located on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/ patterns/library/fandangle

We will have kits available in the shop. The kits include a printed pattern, both required yarns, a bag, and a stitch marker.

John will cover a few options for how to best navigate the world stranded knitting. Our venture into two-color knitting will begin with short charts of a repeating ornament motif. In addition to learning how to work your way through a color chart, you will be introduced to new ways to hold your yarn and potentially adding a fun new notion to your kit.
