Michigan Abolitionist Project Grand Rapids Event 

Grand Rapids - You are invited to attend a human trafficking awareness event and informational meeting on Saturday evening June 11, 2016 at 7pm at St. Thomas Parish in Grand Rapids.

The Director of the Michigan Abolitionist Project’s, Kathy Maitland will be presenting an overview of human trafficking that will include an update on some of the efforts underway in the state of Michigan.  There will also be opportunity to learn more about the Michigan Abolitionist Project, our initiatives, and how our Community Groups are making an impact by addressing human trafficking across the state of Michigan in the communities of Brighton, Canton, Fenton, Lansing, Novi, Midland, Milford, Redford, Shelby Twp, U of M, Warren, … and the list is growing! 

MAP plans to start a new Community Group in the Grand Rapids area. Abolitionists who are interested in joining the movement and who live in or near Grand Rapids are encouraged to attend to learn more and to provide feedback.

 This event is free and open to the community.  Registration is not required but your pre-registration for this event will help in our planning. Refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there, pass the word and invite a friend!
