November 2019 ASCE-NH/VT Joint Meeting

Keeping Our Northern Border Safe & Sound

Border Security has been a “hot” topic with emphasis on the Mexico front.  The US/Mexico border stretches for 1,954-miles as compared to the US/Canada border that stretches for 5,525-miles.  Please join us to learn about the NH/VT border and how local United States Border Patrol (USBP) Agents deliver on their promise to keep it safe.  We will be joined by a NH/VT native who has 1st-hand experience working to secure our Southern border as well as right here in VT.  We will learn about the strategies, techniques, equipment, and training utilized by our USBP Agents.  We will also learn how USBP Agents work with local law enforcement agencies and navigate an ever increasing network of information to identify real threats and neutralize them in a safe and efficient manner.

SPEAKER’S BIO:  Special Operations Supervisor (SOS) Bryan Dyke currently works out of the Swanton Sector headquarters in Swanton, VT in charge of Sector operational planning and managing several core programs. He has been an Agent with the United States Border Patrol (USBP) for over thirteen years and has served as an Operations Officer in Swanton, VT as well as a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in Richford, VT.
