New Insurance under Healthcare Reform: Helping Cancer Survivors to Obtain and Maintain their Health Coverage

Join the LIVESTRONG Foundation for their free online* or in-person class on the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Why should cancer survivors attend this class?

Beginning on October 1, 2013, consumers will have access to a variety of health insurance products, with coverage beginning as early as January 1, 2014. These products will be available on exchanges within each state, also known as “health insurance marketplaces”, with plans designed to fit your budget and health care needs.

This class will be led by Loyce Pace Bass, Health Policy Director of LIVESTRONG, and Brendan Bietry, Director of External Relations/Bilingual Case Manager of the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) and is intended to help survivors better understand the new health insurance marketplaces.

This online* or in-person session will help cancer survivors:

- Understand the Health Insurance Marketplace

 - Identifiy elegibility criteria

- Understand enrollment process

- Recognize options for those with limited income

- Locate resources
