Speaker Bios;
Wendy McClure is Senior Editor at Albert Whitman and Company, where she acquires and edits picture books, middle grade, and young adult fiction. One of her recent projects include the Edgar Award-winning series The Buddy Files. She is also the author of the memoir The Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie and a forthcoming middle grade novel, Wanderville.

Sally Morgridge is an Editorial Assistant at Holiday House Books for Young People.. She is passionate about original dystopian fiction, intelligent YA characters, and middle grade novels with heart. Picture books, and books with humor really stand out for her.  Picture books that are overly sentimental are not for her. Sally is a native New Yorker and lives in Brooklyn. In 2011, she graduated with honors from Carleton College with a degree in English and went on to attend the Columbia University Publishing Course.

Kate Sullivan is an editor for Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, where she is working primarily on commercial and literary Middle Grade and Young Adult fiction. She is primarily looking for novels that make her laugh aloud on a crowded subway, are smart without being boring, feature monsters, or have strong, defiant characters. She is the editor of Ash by Malinda Lo. Upcoming, she has a YA steampunk series by New York Times bestselling adult author Gail Carriger, and a MG fantasy epic cowritten by New York Times bestselling authors Melissa Marr and Kelley Armstrong.

Andrea Welch is a Senior Editor at Beach Lane Books, a San Diego-based imprint of Simon & Schuster. Recent books she has edited include the New York Times bestselling LMNO Peas by Keith Baker and the multiple-starred-review recipients Rah, Rah, Radishes! by April Pulley Sayre and Sophie Peterman Tells the Truth! by Sarah Weeks. Andrea acquires projects for children of all ages—especially those that are filled with heart, humor, and irresistible characters.
