Have you ever dreamed of being that host/hostess who serves fresh hand-made taste treats to your guests and yet is never seen slaving away in the kitchen? Join us as we make small bites that can be served for a party, brunch, or even after theater. The key to this hands-on kitchen cooking class is a menu that is balanced between make-ahead recipes and those that come together quickly using purchased ingredients. Registration is limited to 8 guests who will create and dine on:
- Puff Pastry Bites with Balsamic Fig Chutney and Roasted Grapes – these can be made from scratch or using purchased Fig Chutney
- Mini Wellingtons – these can be made ahead of time, frozen and baked to be served hot for your guests
- Chocolate caramel macadamia tartlets – The caramel can be made from raw sugar or purchased; the tart shell can be mixed from flour and butter or purchased ready-made
- Lemon Cream Puffs – Lemon curd provides the base for this dessert and can be frozen until ready to assemble. The same holds true for the cream puff shells since the batter can be piped into shapes and frozen for later baking.
