Vactor Operators' / Mechanics' School
Attendees will acquire knowledge, both practical and theoretical, concerning the safe operation, basic maintenance and basic troubleshooting of the various areas of the Vactor 2100 Plus or Classic Series fan and PD units. This includes different nozzles and their usage, water pump, boom, vacuum systems, proper
man-hole set up, dumping procedure, accessories, winterization, and pre-trip inspection. Material will be presented from an operator’s perspective with an emphasis on proper procedures and safety. A basic overview of mechanical systems will also be discussed.
Methods: We will use a combination of Power Point slides, videos, manuals and hands-on. Attendees will participate in a walk around maintenance and operation instruction of an actual unit on site.

We welcome all current operators or mechanics whether new or experienced. Supervisors are also encouraged to attend.
