Gulf Coast Training Camp

 

Join coaches from LifeSport Coaching for a training camp to prepare athletes for the Gulf Coast Triathlon. The training camp will consist of an open water swim, riding the bike course, running the run course, tips/tricks from coaches, and a Q&A session with the race director. We will have SAG support and aid station support for the bike and run. It is also a phenomenal opportunity to socialize with others who will be racing the Gulf Coast Triathlon.  This camp is ideal for those training for half Ironman (70.3) distance races.

The camp will be led by LifeSport Coach Chuck Kemeny.  Chuck has coached many athletes with goals ranging from finishing their first triathlon to podium finishes at the world championships. Chuck is the current world record holder for the Ultraman Distance Triathlon, a double Ironman champion, and a former professional triathlete. Chuck knows how to balance a busy family and professional life with sporting excellence, and will share this knowledge and expertise with you.

Tentative Training Weekend Schedule

Friday, April 17th, 2015:
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM – Athlete check in (Laketown Wharf Resort)
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Athlete information session and Q&A about the camp (Laketown Wharf Resort)

Saturday, April 18th, 2015:
6:15 AM – Gather in the Laketown Wharf parking lot for ride instructions and to organize into pace groups
6:30 AM – Start of the ride
3:00 PM – Open water swim – Meet in the parking lot of Laketown Wharf  - We will head to the beach together
7:00 PM – Coaches Presentation and Q & A Session - (Laketown Wharf Resort)

Sunday, April 19th, 2015:
6:30 AM – Gather in the Laketown Wharf parking lot for run instructions and to organize into pace groups
6:45 AM – Start of the run
