All Stars Tennis with Aceing Autism 2016 

The Scituate CORSE Foundation and Scituate Youth Center are collaborating to offer All Stars Tennis.  The mission of this 6 week program is to make the sport of tennis available to children with special needs that cannot access a typical program.  Each week will introduce or address different basic tennis skills.  Children ages 6-22 will learn basic ball and racquet skills.  Programming is individualized to fit each participant based on their prior tennis experience, developmental level and motor abilities.  Many children will benefit from seeing a visual schedule and cues like place-markers, cones, arrows and targets to help focus.  All tennis equipment is provided.  Sneakers are mandatory, bug spray and water are recommended.

The Scituate CORSE Foundation (Community of Resources for Special Education) is a 501(c)(3) which was established by a group of dedicated parents and educators to raise funds to provide the highest quality educational, social and recreational community experiences so students with special needs can reach their full potential.  Through fundraising activities, the Foundation is able to allocate funds for a wide range of supplemental resources that will benefit students, parents and educators within our community.  The Foundation cannot fund basic staffing and services required by state and federal education laws.
