Temple of Witchcraft

The Feast of Hecate

The Temple celebrates Hecate, goddess of the crossroads and matron of Witchcraft, on her August feast day. Temple founder and teacher Adam Sartwell will lead an oracular ritual, where petitioners may commune with the goddess via her invoked priestesses to receive insights and answers to their questions.

Offerings to adorn the goddess's altar are welcome: please only candles (black, red, or white), skeleton keys, red wine, or honey, as we use all of these in Her rites throughout the year and can ensure they will not be wasted. Skeleton keys blessed as part of this rite are used for the ordination of Temple High Priestesses and Priests. We will also be collecting donations for a local animal shelter in Her name.

Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to our start-time to get checked-in and settled before we begin. Once the doors are closed for ritual, no one will be admitted.

Temple of Witchcraft rituals are open to all, and no experience is necessary to participate in the celebration, only an open heart and open mind is required. Per current Temple guidelines, proof of COVID vaccination is required, and face masks will be required while indoors for the ritual. Feel free to wear your ritual finery or robes if you so choose. If you have questions about the ritual, please email virgo@templeofwitchcraft.org.
