ADA Day: October 11, 2013

Provides the complete 5 hours of disability access coursework required for California Licensure.

The presentation will provide an ADA/accessibility workshop pertinent to Bay Area architects and will provide them with the full five hours required by the CAB for licensure renewal.

Date: Friday October 11, 2013
Time: 8:30am - 3:00pm

Check-in and coffee from 8-8:30am. Program begins at 8:30am. Attendees will be given a coffee/tea/fruit in the morning and a sandwich/chip/cookie lunch.

Cost: $100 for AIA Members; $140 for non-members. Payment *must* be received by Tuesday October 8th in order to hold your spot for this program. We do expect this program to sell out.

California Building Code Chapter 11B for “Public Accommodations”:

1. Identify changes to the ADA Standards

2. Identify additional modifications to the ADAS by California in CBC Chapter 11B for Public Accommodations

3. State Key concepts pertaining to accessibility requirements which must be incorporated into the design and construction of multifamily housing covered by the regulations.

4. Recognize some common accessibility errors in construction documents and in the field.
