Robotics on the Shop Floor Means Profits

Presenter: Mick Arnold, a leader in robot tech in manufacturing: Discover how TASKMATE, a shop floor robot, is proving to be a productivity powerhouse at Arnold Packaging. You will see a demonstration and learn how easy it is to program the TASKMAKE to do many different work tasks. Mick Arnold will explain the costs behind this kind of automation.

In his 20 years as president, Mick has led the company in doubling the number of employees while bringing in five times the revenue. He has brought efficiency to the operation and an improved cost of ownership, just the same as his company does for its customers.

Mick joined Arnold Packaging (then known as Arnold’s Factory Supplies) at age 13, working in the manufacturing plant. Each summer he rotated to a new area: box construction, inventory, loading, and delivery. He came on full-time in 1993 as a sales representative, then a sales manager, and then named president in 1995. Mick led the name change of the company in 2016 to reflect the A-to-Z range of packaging products and related services that they can provide.

Mick attended high school at The Severn School in Severna Park, Md., before attending Radford University in Virginia, where he graduated in 1993. He has been coaching soccer and lacrosse for the Green Hornets Youth Organization since 2007.
