Yoga Sutra Series with Rama
Part of a series, the first five weekends helped students explore the concepts of the Yoga Sutra and how they apply to how we live life. The final weekend will cover a chapter often neglected: Pada Four. Chapter four discusses asmit, discerning whether we are listening to the mind or our Spirit. Explore tools that allow exploration of your own ability to discern.
We regret to inform you that Rama has been under the weather
and will be unable to teach this upcoming Sutra Module.
She has requested that Hansa teach this module so those
who have participated previously may complete the training;
additionally, those new to the series will have the opportunity
to explore this interesting final Chapter of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra.
Hansa will talk with Rama to ensure she includes information that Rama would include. At the same time, Hansa will bring her own personal perspective from years of experience in the field and teaching this last, important chapter. Rama will make a call in to say hello and share her love to the group.
Hansa feels that the fourth pada should have been at the beginning. It teaches how we can discern spiritual from emotional insights and viewpoints, and also the states of consciousness that relate back to previous chapters. We will explore listening to our inner truth and developing tools for identifying the presence of the klesha and the vritti. By acknowledging that they are part of the mind and being aware of their presence and influence, opportunities for us to make choices arise rather than getting caught in the fluctuating waves of the mind. We still the mind through awareness of its wandering ways through witness consciousness!
Hansa will be presenting the fourth pada this weekend, guided by the inspiration of her studies with Rama and the previous 5 weekends that Rama presented.
