Join Helgrid and Hansa as they present Ayurveda to be a helpful tool in daily living!

Helgrid will start out this Ayurveda day with you sharing about the qualities of the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). She'll then dive into how we can find them in the food we eat, which taste represents which dosha and how can we balance the doshas with food.

We will talk about agni (the strength of digestion) and why some people are hungry all the time yet others forget to eat. From there, we will move into ayurvedic meal planning: how can we plan ahead for simple and healthy ayurvedic meals during a busy week? Some of the recipes that we learn about we will also cook together and enjoy for lunch. Lunch includes a conscious eating experience to take eating beyond the mechanics and into a meditative process.

After a break, Hansa will take over and talk about the importance of lifestyle and how to create an individual daily routine. These dinacharya (daily) practices also help balance all of the doshas, and are simple lifestyle tools to take care of our teeth, eyes, ears, and more.

Diet and lifestyle are the two most important tools in Ayurveda. Eating and living according to our constitution prevents disease and can be a big part in healing as well.
