15 hours Continuing Education for Yoga Therapists through IAYT
Presented by Hansa Knox, C-IAYT, LMT, KCYT
Posture and alignment have a double-edge interpretation. We mimic our parents’ posture. We have physical and congenital structure that affects our posture. More importantly, in Yoga we teach that the body is the Silent Communicator of the Spirit; our body mirrors the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual stories of our life. The subtle energies governing this include the pranavayu, chakra, nadi, dosha, kosha and consciousness.
This workshop explores “reading the body.”
We will explore reading the physical and subtle energies of a client’s body. We will look at the ancient teachings and how they may be interpreted that allows the body to become a Silent Communicator. The information will be translated to the practical applications of reading a yoga therapy client’s body for the purposes of understanding the client and knowing limitations to provide adaptive protocol, and ultimately, to support our awareness of what impact our yoga therapy guidance has on their body, mind, emotions and Spirit.
This course is designed for Professional Yoga Therapists or Yoga Therapists-in-Training. Senior Yoga Teachers may be allowed to attend based on permission of the instructor. Please email us to schedule an interview with Hansa: pyamandala@gmail.com
