CFA Minnesota presents: Business Development Panel 

Mark Schwieters is a Senior Vice President at SPECTRUM.  Mark’s focus is on leading SPECTRUM’s team of business development officers and coordinating approval of new loan customers.  He is also responsible for the overall marketing strategy of SPECTRUM, including the opening and growth of new outside sales offices. Mark has over twenty years of asset based lending experience, in capacities ranging from collateral audit, portfolio management and new business development.  During his career, he has dealt primarily with closely held companies in manufacturing, wholesale distribution and select service industries.  The majority of these companies are located throughout the upper Midwest, including MN, WI, IA, NE, MO and the Dakotas.   

Julie Lovaas is a Senior vice president, Bell State Bank & Trust, Golden Valley (since 2012). Her previous role was with US Bank as a Vice President. She earned her B.S. in accounting at Minnesota State University Moorhead; MBA, finance, University of St. Thomas; and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

 Ben Van Zee is the founder and President of Commonwealth Capital, LLC.  Commonwealth Capital provides small, underserved business with working capital by factoring their accounts receivable. Ben has completed professional development classes at the University of St. Thomas and is a graduate of Hennepin Technical College.
