Recognizing and Responding to Elder Financial Abuse, Incapacity and Undue Influence
Speaker - Jonathan Ingrisano, JD, Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.
The United States is in the early years of the largest generational transfer of wealth in history. At the same time, rates of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia continue to rise. As a result, trust and estate litigation is sharply rising, including claims of elder abuse and challenges to wills and trusts for lack of capacity and undue influence. Learn more beyond the legal elements of these claims and receive practical guidance to identify the warning signs of elder abuse, lack of capacity and undue influence, and best practices in response
About our speaker
Jonathan Ingrisano is a member of the Litigation Practice Group of Godfrey & Kahn’s Milwaukee office. Jonathan concentrates his practice in two areas: Estate, Trust and Fiduciary litigation, and defense of banks and financial services providers. In the first area, he represents fiduciaries and family members in all manner of disputes arising from the planning and administration of trusts and estates. He has represented clients in proceedings related to fiduciary liability, fiduciary removal, undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, trust construction, and contracts to make a will.
