Economy, the Inland Empire & the State of Supply Chain & Manufacturing

Emerging with Supply Chain Strength

When: Friday, February 19, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Presenter : Paul Granillo & Inland Empire Economic Partnership (IEEP) economists, CEO of  IEEP

As part of our Emerging with Supply Chain Strength webinar series, we are kicking off with a critical topic - the economy and state of Inland Southern Califronia. COVID has created vast disruption and opportunity throughout the region. Although manufacturing and supply chain were considered essential and fared better than many industries, there were many impacts with customers, suppliers, new rules and regulations with people and many more changing conditions. E-commerce went through the roof, significantly impacting the IE and supply chain, both positively and negaitvely.

The Inland Empire Economic Partnership supports efforts in job creation, leadership infrastructure, and regional advocacy for Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The IEEP works closely with business and government leaders to make the Inland Empire a great place to live, work and invest. From a supply chain perspective, the IEEP has been involved in a signficant study by Brookings that relates to the future of manufacturing and supply chain in the IE, how the technology transformation will affect our industries and the labor force. The IEEP also partners closely with the Southern CA logistics scene (ports, railroads, transportation, etc.).

Tune in to hear the economists talk about what's coming, the impact on the IE and the future of manufacturing and logistics.
