In conjunction with the 67th Annual International Education Conference in San Antonio, Texas, the Right of Way International Education Foundation (RWIEF) and the Canadian Right of Way Education Foundation (CRWEF) are hosting their 25th Annual Golf Tournament. The Alamo City Classic will be held at TPC San Antonio, Canyons Course on June 8, 2021.  TPC San Antonio is a private resort, accessible only to Club Members and guests of the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. Additionally, TPC San Antonio is managed and operated by PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties as part of the TPC Network.  It is approximately 20 miles from the host hotel and conference center.

TPC San Antonio is proud to be part of the PGA TOUR’s TPC Network of premier golf clubs.  TPC San Antonio opened January 22, 2010 with 36 holes of golf designed by two of golf’s most respected and innovative architects and World Golf Hall of Fame members, Pete Dye and Greg Norman.  Situated inside the 2,800 rolling acres of the Cibolo Canyons development at the base of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, both the AT&T Canyons Course (designed by Pete Dye & PGA TOUR Player Consultant Bruce Lietzke) and the AT&T Oaks Course (designed by Greg Norman & PGA TOUR Player Consultant Sergio Garcia) were built with the infrastructure to be host venues for PGA TOUR tournaments.

TPC San Antonio is only one of three properties in the United States to have hosted two TOUR events annually. The Oaks course hosts the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open and the Canyons course was host to the PGA TOUR Champions San Antonio Championship from 2010 to 2015.  The Canyons course, designed by Pete Dye, features Dye’s signature wide fairways and panoramic hill country views of the adjacent Cibolo Canyons community. The course offers multiple sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels.  More information about the course can be found on their website: www.tpc.com/sanantonio.

The tournament is limited to 144 participants, and all proceeds are donated to the Education Foundations.  Check-in will begin at 7:00 a.m. with use of the range as well as a chipping or putting contest before the 8:30 a.m. tee time.  The fee to enter is $125 USD and includes green fees, golf cart, catered lunch after the round, range balls, and transportation to and from the conference host hotel.  Play will be a four-person scramble format.  Prizes will be given for closest to the pin on the par 3’s, long drive for both men and women, as well as the top 3 places.  A large raffle will also follow the event.  Please note that if COVID-19 protocols prohibit us from running certain contests, we will raffle off the prizes instead.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals, chapters or companies who wish to further support the goals of the Education Foundations. Sponsorships range from the Platinum level at $2,500 USD, to sponsoring individual holes for $300 USD.  All activities related to the tournament will be handled by the RWIEF, a 501-c-3 organization, which is a separate entity from IRWA.

Registration for the general membership will open on March 1, 2021.  Online Registration is required.  Payment by credit card is highly encouraged.  However, if necessary, other arrangements can be made by contacting the tournament chair.  Please go to www.rwief.org to register online.

Rental clubs are available at a cost of $80 per set (price set by golf course).  The course will have enough sets to accommodate everyone that would like rentals, but they must be pre-registered and paid for through the tournament registration.  The golf course will not reserve rental clubs directly.  All rental clubs will be thoroughly sanitized prior to the round.
