Session 1: Faculty/staff panel on life-work balance
The life-work balance panel will feature your Foothill College colleagues (Shawna Aced, Karen Erickson, Patrick Morriss, Nicolae Muntean, Teresa Ong, and Bill Ziegenhorn) who will share their ideal balance of life (personal interests and obligations) and work responsibilities and how they achieve that balance and manage the challenges.
Session 2: Alternative Commuting Options with Kevin and Jeff Anderson
Are you tired of sitting in traffic, buying gasoline and commuting to work by car? Are you interested in learning about options for your commute to Foothill College? Join us for this one-hour workshop in which we will provide you with an overview of alternative commute options with a special focus on biking to work. In this workshop, we’ll discuss: transit options to Foothill, commuter benefits, the basics of riding, route selections, choosing gear and bike parking on campus.

Jeremy Adam Smith, editor at, Greater Good The Science of a Meaningful Life, will share personal stories and practical tips about balancing life responsibilities with work obligations. Author of "The Daddy Shift" and co-editor of "The Compassionate Instinct", Jeremy will address a diverse range of topics from the cultural shift of stay-at-home-dads to living a compassionate and ethical life in 2016.
