Come hear from Dr. Edward Hatfield about the important chapters in Atlanta’s planning history. He will cover the creation of the expressways/interstates in the 1950’s, the debates that led to the creation of MARTA in the late 1960’s and 1970’s, and conclude by considering the problems of metropolitan transportation and cooperation in the early twenty-first century.

Early Cost/Registration: $25 Private Sector Member, $15 Public Sector Members, $15 Life Members, $10 Job Seekers, $30 for non-Members. On-line registration via the ITE website (link below) ends on Monday, September 5th at midnight. 

Late Cost/Registration: Walk-ups are welcome at the door; walk-ups and late registrants will be charged $5 extra. 

Student Cost: Students are still FREE for all GAITE Monthly Meetings if you register online!  Walk-up students will be subject to Non-Member fee.

Menu: Burger buffet, pasta salad, chips, cookies, and drinks. 

Parking: P60 Lot would be the first choice. If it is filled up, there will be more spaces at the P2 Visitor Lot.
