Come hear from Dr. Edward Hatfield about the important chapters in Atlanta’s planning history. He will cover the creation of the expressways/interstates in the 1950’s, the debates that led to the creation of MARTA in the late 1960’s and 1970’s, and conclude by considering the problems of metropolitan transportation and cooperation in the early twenty-first century.
