Presented virtually by Emily Rubin MS, CCC-SLP

This virtual workshop will introduce the SCERTS® (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Support) model, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary educational approach designed for students with autism and social emotional learning differences. This workshop will begin with an introduction of the SCERTS core domains and a discussion of the empirical evidence. Next, the content will shift to writing and addressing evidence-based IEP goals for students who are not yet talking, at emerging language stages, and at conversational levels.  Participants will have the opportunity for small group discussion in virtual breakout rooms to discuss strategies for addressing these priorities in their instruction. A sensitivity to both in classroom and remote learning will be embedded in this workshop.
