Women in Business: 
An Expert Panel By and For Women on Overcoming Common Struggles in Entrepreneurship

Operating a small business can be isolating at times, but discussion and face-to-face connection with fellow entrepreneurs can make a difference. 

Our panel of women is eager to share their experiences with attendees and offer support, new tools, and inspiration. 

Subjects Addressed at This Panel Include:

About the Presenters:

Beth Donalds is currently Chair of the Women in Business Initiative and
provides big business solutions for small business owners and entrepreneurs. Equal parts CFO, marketing strategist and operations guru, Beth combines 30 years of corporate finance and operations experience with a practical approach to resolving business challenges. She provides the know-how and hands-on support needed to improve day-to-day operations, shape sales and marketing strategy, and implement tactical plans to drive bottom-line results.

Lisa Hartensveld is a former classroom art teacher who started her own
business, Creating with Clay, in 2011. Through the development of her therapy-based art program, Lisa and her team work in the nursing home/assisted living arenas, improving the lives of special needs adults.. Presently, Creating with Clay serves New Jersey and Florida, assisting thousands of people monthly.

Rana Shanawani is the Executive Director for the Women's Center for Entrepreneurship Corp. (WCEC) in Chatham, NJ. Before working at WCEC, she was a non profit consultant, helping international organizations in strategic management. In 2004, after workingas a UN Consultant for several years, she served as the CEO of BIDAYA, a chapter of the Prince's Youth Business International in Syria. During her tenure there she received the Takreem Achievement Award for Best Young Entrepreneur and was selected to meet with President Barack Obama and Secretary Clinton at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship.

Nancy Palaia Collier 
is the president of the Bergen County Chapter of the International Association of
Women, formerly the NAPW. She is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, with a Marketing Degree. While in college, Nancy received her Real Estate License, from which proceeds helped her start-up and fund Caramella Moo, a candy company. It is a popular candy brand that donates profits to help people with drug misuse and abuse issues. Nancy is also the president of Point of Purchase Display POP, St. Elizabeth Street Display, a family business. Today her time is occupied in spending time with family, running two companies and planning meetings for her women's group.
