Your instructors are Laurie Marshall and Libby Varghese.
For over 20 years, Laurie Marshall has been counseling clients on trademarks, copyrights and the legal aspects of branding. Laurie was trademark counsel for Major League Baseball for 10 years and continues to represent many MLB clubs, the National Basketball Association and hundreds of small businesses. She speaks regularly on the Legal Aspects of Branding a Small Business at events and conferences throughout the country.
Libby B. Varghese is a seasoned Registered Patent Attorney who has filed, prosecuted and obtained numerous patents in the U.S. and abroad on behalf of a wide array of clients ranging from individual inventors to large-scale corporations. Ms. Varghese counsels clients in all phases of seeking and obtaining a patent. Whether a client needs to evaluate an idea to see if it is patentable, to determine whether to file for protection in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Ms. Varghese guides clients through a complicated patent system. Ms. Varghese regularly assists clients in the preparation, filing and attainment of utility and design patents. She also handles reexamination and reissue of patents.
