A mission trip can be a very rewarding and even life changing experience. While in Columbia Mississippi, we will spend our days building and repairing homes for families in need and leading Vacation Bible School for the children in the community. Our nights will be filled with group fun, cultural experiences, praise and worship, and small group time. Our trip is organized by Youthworks: https://www.youthworks.com/
Who: Current 10th – 12th grade students (2018-19 school year.)
Where: Colombia Mississippi!
When: Saturday July 13th – Saturday July 20th
What: We’ll dedicate our week to serving the community of Colombia MS in various ways...
“We’ll experience the spirit of the Deep South through learning how one rural community in Mississippi is reinventing itself economically, socially and spiritually. In partnership with local churches, we will serve children who need a safe place to go during the summer. We’ll also help existing organizations and vulnerable populations through painting, minor home repair projects and other service. We will also experience a taste of Mississippi during the evenings by hearing from local leaders, attending a church service and helping host a community cookout.” – YouthWorks.
This trip is limited to 60 participants (current 10th-12th grade) and priority is given to students who are active at St. Pat's and to those who first complete their registration and non-refundable $100 deposit. Total trip cost is $550. Scholarships available. Contact Jaclyn for more information: jparell@stpatrick-edina.org
