About the Event | ||
In accordance with the Partnership’s Bylaws, an Annual meeting of the General Membership must take place in order to elect Trustees. In addition, it is our tradition to host a guest speaker from the world of maternal child health. This year, we are delighted to have Samuel S. Wang, Ph.D, Professor of Neuroscience and Molecular Biology at Princeton University, who will be presenting: Understanding the Autistic Brain One of the most important unanswered questions in autism research today is the identity of the neural circuits responsible for autistic behavior. Dr. Wang will explain what may cause the developing brain to go "off track" in autism, and will put genetic and environmental risks into accurate perspective. Finally, he will focus on current research being conducted to study the connection between disruption in brain development and autistic-like behaviors. Registration is free, but required as space is limited. |
