Week of the Young Child Celebration 

Join us for Idaho AEYC’s Week of the Young Child Celebration!

The Week of the Young Child is a time to focus on the needs of Idaho's youngest and their families, and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Our event connects parents with valuable community resources and provides businesses and organizations a unique opportunity to showcase the work they do. Each booth must offer an activity that fits within one of the Week of the Young Child's daily themes – Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday and Family Friday. Last year, children worked on coloring projects, tried out new gymnastics moves, learned how to cast a fishing line, played musical instruments and much more. We're excited to see what our vendors come up with this year!

Attendees will also enjoy live music and performances on our celebration stage. 

Idaho AEYC and the Idaho Botanical Garden are partnering to host this celebration! The garden will be open for the community to explore during the event. 

Event Details 

Event Hours: Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Idaho Botanical Garden, Outlaw Field, 2355 Old Penitentiary Road
Setup: April 21, 9 to 10:45 a.m.
Tear Down: April 21, 3 p.m.

Booth Details: Booths must include an interactive game for children to play that fits within one of the Week of the Young Child's daily themes. Idaho AEYC will provide one 6 ft table with two chairs. Your business or organization is responsible for providing material for your game(s) and additional items, such a canopy. If your game requires water, please mark that on the registration form. This is an outdoor event and will be held regardless of weather conditions.

Expected Attendance: Plan to visit with more than 2,000 parents and children
