You are cordially invited to join us at Salut, Prost, Cheers…to a Cure! our third annual wine event and silent auction to benefit Jonah’s Just Begun.
This year, like before, is not to be missed. If the beautiful views of Stoller Vineyard are not enough, you can feast on a delicious spread of appetizers and listen to the live performance by The Jake Blair Band. while enjoying some of the best wines the Willamette Valley has to offer. You can shop our wine inspired boutique or take part in our Silent Auction. Our auction items will celebrate the spirit and talents of the Willamette Valley with prizes like: wine inspired gift baskets, handcrafted items, gift certificates and more.
This year we are excited to announce we will also be including a brewery for all those beer connoisseurs out there. Wheither you prefer wine or beer there will be full glasses available for $5 each.
All of the proceeds from this event will go to further the research of Sanfilippo Syndrome. Because of your generosity and events like this we have been able to accomplish ground breaking mile stones. Here are a few:
10/10-Funded Dr. Alexey Pshezhetsky of CHU Sainte-Justine with $20,000. This funding was put toward our first ever MPSIIIC mouse model and chaperone therapy.
2/11-Dr. Pshezhetsky began searching for a drug useful for chaperone therapy; the first MPSIIIC research begins!
3/11-JJB hosted a Sanfilippo Symposium in New York at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Guests included our scientific advisory board, Sanfilippo scientists and parents from across Europe and the US. Because of the Symposium we identified the three most relevant treatments for Sanfilippo type C. We then put this research into action.
7/11-Granted Dr. Greenberg of Barcelona University with $20,000. Dr. Greenberg created our first ever Isp-cellular model. (Another way to test treatments)
9/11-Created a contract with Dr. Pshezhetsky and Dr. Bigger for the Assessment of the Efficacy of Long Term Intracerebral AAV-HHGSNAT Delivery in MPSIIIC Mice. (Pre-clinical research for the first ever gene therapy for MPSIIIC.)
This event is family friendly and all are welcomed. It is an outside event so please plan accordingly. Parking is available, please designate a driver. Bring a blanket so you can kick back and relax or consider sponsoring a table for your business or family. Individual tickets are only $50 each!
