m(ED) Safety: Preventing Errors and Patient Terrors in the Emergency Department

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
Pharmacists and Technicians
 

  1. Identify key areas where patient safety incidents occur in the emergency department (ED) setting
  2. Recognize potential interventions to improve safe medication administration in the ED
  3. Outline an approach to evaluating and monitoring medication safety initiatives in the ED
  4. Explain the ways emergency medicine pharmacists can directly impact patient safety

INTENDED AUDIENCE:
NYSCHP members. This is a Patient Safety program. Cost: There is no charge for members of the LISHP/NYCSHP/Royals/WCSHP Chapters.

Non-LISHP/NYCSHP/Royals/WCSHP Member charge at door is $50.00, no refund 

PHARMACIST ACCREDITATION STATEMENT: 
NYSCHP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program is approved for 1.0 contact hour(s) (0.1 CEUs) of ACPE approved continuing education. In order to receive credit, the participant must provide the CE code given at the event on the survey which will be emailed out after the meeting.  Participants must provide this code within 45 days of the event.  It will take up to 60 days to be uploaded to MY CPE Monitor.

LISHP may use picture for promotional purposes.
