Metro Ministries, Inc. Grant Process Invitation 

The Metro Ministries Board of Directors annually offers an opportunity to learn about Metro's grant process. Grants are available in 2018 to help new programs get on their feet, foster the continued growth of ongoing ministries, and meet specific needs in the community. The grant criteria focus on programs that engage with the poor, take risks, and develop leaders.

We are excited to have Jean Casmir-Hill, Executive Director of East Tenth UM Children & Youth Inc., as our keynote speaker for the event. She brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit grant-writing, and will share steps to help write successful grants as well as share resources that can provide support for ways to serve our communities.

Eligibility: Metro grant team will present the guidelines, deadlines, and other information related to the 2018 application process. It is recommended that programs considering writing a grant with Metro to have the person writing the grant present. If your program is new or if you have never received a Metro grant, it is a requirement to attend this information meeting or schedule a meeting directly with Lisa Morris, Executive Director, prior to writing your grant. More details will be provided on the Metro website by February 1.

Metro ministries connects, resources, supports and partners with community ministries, churches, individuals, and clergy in the Central District of The United Methodist Church who are sharing the love of Christ in their communities. The funds raised for Metro Ministries grants help connect resources to ministries and ministries to resources.
