Darkness falls as you enter the halls of the former Lake County Poorhouse.  Your eyes begin to adjust to your surroundings and things become clearer as the lantern light illuminates the space. Looking around you notice shadows creeping up the wall, and  portraits of long deceased superintendents and matrons of the home appear alive as their eyes seem to follow your journey into the unknown.

Walk with us through the Lake County Historical Center with nothing but a lantern to guide you - as our costumed storyteller and her dark guardian present the history...and the mystery...this property holds.  Hear compelling true stories of the former inmates of the Lake County Home, and visit all the areas where ghostly activities have been recorded.  Listen to honest personal experiences and decide for yourself what might haunt the halls of this Painesville Township treasure. And perhaps you might even try your own hand at a paranormal investigation?
