Prosecutor Bootcamp 2018

Please join us for Prosecutor Bootcamp!

This two-day class introduces basic concepts of prosecution and is intended for people with less than two years of experience in a prosecutor's office.  It will include sessions discussing the role of the prosecutor, developing a case theory, making charging decisions, drafting search warrants, preparing pre-trial motions, and the special considerations involved in prosecuting DWIs and domestic assaults--the kind of cases typically assigned to new prosecutors.  This class would also be a good refresher for experienced prosecutors who want to get back to the basics.

The class will be held on February 13-14, 2018, in Room 450 of the Governor's Office Building in Jefferson City.  Registration will begin at 8:00 am on February 13.  The class will conclude at 3:00 pm on February 14.  The class will be worth 13.8 hours of CLE.

The registration fee for this class is $150.00.  Payment  should be made in advance by sending a check made out to MOPS Revolving Fund to P.O. Box 899, Jefferson City, MO 65102.  This fee includes the course and lunch on February 13.  All other expenses (lodging, parking and other meals) will be the responsibility of the participating jurisdictions.  We can also take payment via credit card.  Please call the MOPS office at 573-751-0619 if you would like to pay with a credit card.

There is no official rooming block for this class.  The most convenient hotels are the Doubletree by Hilton located at 422 Monroe Street (call 573-636-5101 for reservations) or the Capitol Plaza located at 415 W. McCarty Street (573-6356-1234 for reservations).
