In this seminar, participants will be able to gain an understanding of how the stretch reflex and proprioception works in the muscular system and the science of stretching. Participants will learn and perform different stretching techniques and how to integrate these techniques in any protocol related to rehab or performance enhancement.
The seminar is intended to learn and review anatomical and physiological responses to stretching and range of motion. At the end of the seminar, attendees will be able to demonstrate different stretching protocols for different muscles and joints in the human body. All the sections cover in the seminar were developed with the intent to clarify and educate licensed PT/PTA as well as massage therapists and personal trainers in the science of stretching and how stretching benefits different patients. At the end of the seminar, attendees will also learn which stretching techniques are ideal according to the condition of the patient or athlete. Attendees will learn and demonstrate how to specifically identify and stretch different muscle groups as well as individual muscles.
