Captain Patrick Garin took command as Commanding Officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast on 23 June 2016 after completing a tour as the Executive Officer NAVFAC Washington, Washington, D.C. Garin is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Garin reported to his first assignment as environmental officer, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida.  Garin’s recent tours included CEC LCDR detailer in Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tennessee; commanding officer of NMCB THREE, Port Hueneme, California; Expeditionary Warfare Manpower branch head, OPNAV N95, Washington, D.C; and facilities director, Headquarters Marine Corps also in Washington, D.C.   Garin is qualified as a Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, a Registered Professional Architect in the state of Vermont, and is a member of the Acquisition Professional Community. His personal decorations include Legion of Merit (two awards), Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (five awards), Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), the Army Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards) and other unit and service awards.


Feb 21 Webinar: 1:00 pm EST – Mr. Alvin C. Lee, Division Programs Director, USACE South Atlantic Division

                                                                  

Alvin C. Lee joined the South Atlantic Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Jan 2014. He is currently the Division Programs Director. As the South Atlantic Division Programs Director, Lee oversees work in the Southeast United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He responsible for the Corps of Engineers Civil Works mission consisting of navigation, flood control, stream bank and shore protection, hurricane and storm damage reduction, emergency preparedness response and recovery, hydropower, water supply, recreation, permitting, and environmental protection and recovery. He is also responsible for real estate for the Army and Air Force. The South Atlantic Division has 3,815 employees and an annual operating budget of $3.5 billion.
