It can happen in an instant, often without warning: a concussion. It can happen on the game field, in the school, or at home, but when a concussion happens it needs immediate attention and follow-up. This workshop will review exactly what a concussion is, how it affects the brain and the changes that occur to cellular metabolism following concussion. CNNH’s Dr. Alberts will also review "Sport Concussion" law, its effect on "return to play" and academic programming for students with acquired brain injuries. This FREE workshop is designed for parents, guardians and school professionals working with individuals with a concussion.
