Dr. Joseph McManus, DMD, MS, MHA, MBA, MS, FACD Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions
Dr. McManus received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition to his clinical training he has earned master degrees in Management, Health Administration, Business Administration and Higher Education.
He has enjoyed an eclectic career. He practiced pediatric dentistry for over 25 years. He served on the faculty of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where he held positions as Associate Professor, Associate Dean and as the Executive Director of the Faculty Practices. From 2010 to 2012 he was the Senior Vice-President of the Division of Dental Practice/Professional Affairs at the American Dental Association. He has lectured at dental schools and national dental meetings on dental practice transitions.
Today Dr. McManus is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and the Director of Practice Management at the College. Recently he was appointed the Executive Director of Community DentCare where he is responsible for the operation of 7 clinical facilities. He serves on the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s Policy Center Advisory Board and is a consultant for Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions.
