Annual Conference 

The Apostleship of the Sea of the United States of America cordially invites you to the 13th Annual AOS-USA Conference in Jacksonville FL.

This is the Annual Meeting of all AOS-USA Members.  It is a wonderful opportunity for continued education and development, as well as networking opportunities among other AOS Port Chaplains, Seafarers' Center staff and volunteers, Cruise Ship Priests, and Catholic Mariners devoted to their Faith and to the work of the AOS-USA.

 Through the kind invitation of Bishop Felipe Estevez of the Diocese of St. Augustine. and AOS maritime deacon, Deacon Gjet Bajraktari, the Apostleship of the Sea of the United States of America will hold its Annual Meeting in Jacksonville, Florida. Our annual conference will begin at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, and will conclude at 1p.m. after a Noon  Mass on Friday April 26, 2013. 

Highlights:

A one-day evangelization seminar led by Fr. Gregory Jensen of the Catherine of Siena Institute. http://www.siena.org/

Two-session training by Roy Paul of the London-based Maritime Piracy Human Response Program http://www.mphrp.org/index.php

Presentation by Ira Douglas of Crowley Maritime Corporation Future Opportunities in the US Merchant Marine http://www.crowley.com/

Please place these dates on your calendar, and see below for information on our host hotel, and the exciting program. Registration is only $150.

On Tuesday afternoon it's business first with Nominations of Officers & Board Members. You will then have a free night to enjoy beautiful Jacksonville. 

On Wednesday Fr. Gregory Jensen will lead us in 3 sessions in "Forming Intentional Disciples". His will be a powerful seminar for the year of evangelization.

On Thursday we will have a Mass presided by Bishop Estevez, at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, the oldest parish of a permanent European settlement on the North American continent. That same day Mr. Roy Paul from "Maritime Piracy: The Human Response Program", will discuss new inititatives in the area of Piracy.

And on Thursday night??  Take the opportunity for good food and fellowship and a ride on the elevated skyway to the riverfront area.

We sincerely hope you will join us for this conference.  If you feel you cannot attend all days, please consider coming for at least 1 day utilizing the day rate of $50.
