Check in begins at 8:30am at Monceaux Park; 2990 South Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach

Parking

Curbside parking is limited to only cars in the residential neighborhood of El Cid on streets that run between Westminster Road and Barcelona Road.

  • Park only on the south side of street to prevent blocking traffic flow or trash pick-up.
  • DO NOT block residential driveways.
  • Place sign recieved at check-in on dashboard.

Please consider walking, riding bikes, carpooling, ride sharing, or arrive by boat.

Thursday March 5th 

Help plant 6,000 red mangroves and 8,000 Spartina grass plugs on a restored island in Lake Worth Lagoon, Palm Beach County’s Largest Estuary!

Event Timeline

Registration 8:30am – 9am

Boat Transportation to island and Project Overview 9am – 9:15am

Planting Begins at 9:15am

Additional Information

Volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting wet or muddy.  Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or bare feet allowed).  Participants will have to climb six foot ladder to get over the seawall and access small shallow water boats. There will be no public restroom facilities available. 

This event is recommended for ages 10 and up.
