Educating and Engaging Voters

Pam Bixby will briefly explain the League of Women Voters, then provide an overview of S.B.1 and the provisions that most directly affect in-person voters, voters who need assistance, and those seeking to vote by mail. She will discuss how we can get ivolved and make a difference for the upcoming mid-term election!
Pam is VP- Voters Service, League of Women Voters Austin Area (LWVAA), a role that encompasses the Register & Vote, Voters Guide, Candidate Forum, and FirstVote! activities of the Austin League. Previously, she served as co-chair of the FirstVote! high school voter registration program, as a member of the community relations team, and as a member of the LWVTX Capitol Corps. Pam has worked as an Elections Judge in Travis County since 2015. When she’s not volunteering for the LWVAA, Pam is Deputy Director of the Coalition for National Trauma Research, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing public and private funding for traumatic injury research and coordinating clinical trauma studies across the country.

Light snacks and beverages will be served and there will be time included to visit with new and old friends.
