The Adaptive FTO is a researched-based course that teaches Field Training Officers (and through their efforts, the trainee) how to become adaptive, agile decision makers. Attendees will work with a decision making model that is flexible, universal, and legally sound. Students will also examine a feedback method that nurtures the probationary officer’s creativity and critical thinking skills. The FTOs will work with emotional intelligence tools to identify emotional trigger points and enhance the probationary officer’s communication and social skills.
