Sunday April 22 Earth Day Pre show reception at 1409 Bolton Street with CreationCare

This is a special brunch type event held in partnership between Memorial's Creation Care Ministry and Memorial's Theater Arts Ministry. Lisa Schroeder, President of Parks & People Founation, will tell us about the organization's current initiative to connect everyone in Baltimore to nature, their communities and each other through vibrant parks and green spaces. The foundation is currently creating parks in 5 blighted neighborhoods to provide equitable access to  safe, healthy urban space for 65,000 people within a 10 minute walk. Next steps in striving to achieve that equity throughout the city will be offered. Landscape architect JoAnn Tract Tongson and Dick Williams will iscuss the gains envisioned for Mount Royal School stuents through the design of a pollinator micro-habitat garden classroom now under construction on the schoolyard.
