Memorial Episcopal Church Homecoming Celebration 

• Faith at 8,  8am, an informal community-led service, in person or on Zoom; no service on Sept 11 only

• Holy Eucharist at 10:30 am, in person or on Zoom

  • Our guest preacher on 9/11 is Memorial member The Rev. Ken Ironside, with  guest celebrant The Rev. Stuart Wright.

  • The full choir will return under the direction of our Music Director Justine Koontz.

  • Guest musicians join us, and our new organist Wan-Chi Su begins. 

  • Children’s programming resumes under the leadership of Youth Minister Miles Weeks.

    • Special guest this week: Kathleen Capcara, Memorial Church member and nationally recognized Godly Play expert

    • Lesson of the day: Parable of the Great Banquet told creatively with 3 dimensional materials

    •  Activity of the Day:  Making a simple centerpiece for your own table

    • More information about plans for the year will be shared after the service, along with a scavenger hunt for kids and special prizes for all. 

• Taize Prayer at 7pm, in person only

  • Contemplative prayer service, led by lay members of the congregation

After the 10:30am service, join us on the sidewalk where Justice Minister Anthony Francis will be available to share accomplishments of Memorial’s Justice and Reparations Initiative. 

And: potluck lunch for all with grilled meats and veggie hotdogs. Please consider bringing a dish to share* - this will be our first potluck celebration since before the pandemic!
