  • How you can help to make a difference.

On the night there will be an auction of prints featuring wildlife and the work of the International Anti Poaching Foundation.
We will also be auctioning places in the IAPF's volunteer program in Zimbabwe.

Damien Mander is a former Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver and special operations sniper. He served three years and multiple tours in Iraq where he provided security for high profile officials and managed the Iraqi Special Police Training Academy in northern Baghdad. Upon leaving Iraq in 2008, Damien put his life and life savings on the line to found the International Anti-Poaching Foundation. Dedicated to protecting rhino and elephant from the brutal onslaught of criminal poaching syndicates, the IAPF employs cutting edge strategies and technologies to curb poaching while protecting the ecosystems that support a vast array of wildlife.

Simon Jones has a corporate background, having worked for American Express for 24 years, but in 2012 he decided it was time to act and use his experiences in the fight to end rhino poaching. Simon had spent much time in Africa, including a 6 week placement on a conservation project at Kariega Game Reserve, South Africa. On March 2nd 2012, the Reserve suffered a triple poaching attack and Simon could sit back no more and watch as hundreds of rhinos were unnecessarily slaughtered. Helping Rhinos was born. With the simple aim ‘to make a difference’ the initial goal for the organisation was to help raise awareness of the rhino poaching crisis internationally and to raise funds to help wherever possible.
